Q.  How does it work?

With an adequate evaluation of today's top songs, you can identify viable patterns applied to hit songs. With our tool, you're taking the DNA from hit songs and planting the seed for your next masterpiece. Evaluate our SongForensic page and click on "Click to view SongForensics for Today's Top 10 Hottest Songs", pay close attention to the details, and notice the trends in the top hits. SongChemistry is the microscope and you are the forensic scientist. Together you have the perfect algorithm to analyze and discover all of the hidden secrets that establish a hit song.

 

Q.  What is the General Info Page?
A. This page displays general information of a song.

 

Q.  What is the Arrangement Page?
A. This page displays arrangement information of a song, Ex. parts and measures.

 

Q.  What is the Instruments Used Page?
A. This page displays instruments & drum sounds used in a song.

 

Q.  What is the Lyrics Page?
A. This page displays all lyrical elements of a song including the song's lyrics.

 

Q.  What is SongChemistry Rating System?
A. SongChemistry Rating System (SRS) is our unique system that rate songs more methodical that just rate an overall production. On our "Charts" page on every song you will see our system rate songs with more intricate detail than a standard or biased rating, in the future we will allow members to interact with this function so you will help make the SongChemistry Rating System (SRS) a world wide standard.

 

Q.  What is the Video Page?
A. If there is an accessible video of a song that we can post you can watch it on the Video Page.

 

Q.  What is the Samples Page?
A. If a song contains a sample(s) from another song this page will display the sample information. The sample(s) can be a mechanical sample or a reproduction of the sample(s).

 

Q.  What is the Collabos Page?
A. This page would be another artists' collaboration of that particular song.

 

Q.  How do I unsubscribe?
A. Login. Go to "Profile" at the top right of the page, click "Edit Profile" on the profile page then click the "Unsubscribe" check box and click Submit.

 

Q.  How do I edit my profile?
A. Login. Go to "Edit Profile" on the profile page, change your personal information and click Submit.

 

Q.  What is "Notifications"?
A. When this option is set to yes you will receive a weekly email list of new songs that were analyzed the previous week.

 

Q.  I did not choose a genre during registration, why is my genre set to "Pop"?
A. With our system design every member has to have a main genre, since you did not choose one during registration "Pop" was chosen for you because it is the most popular genre world wide. However, you can change your genre in "Edit Profile".

 

Q.  What is RSS?
A. RSS or RSS Feeds is a procedure to receive frequently updated works-such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video-in a standardized format. Our RSS Feeds contains a list of the Country's Top 10 songs with weblinks that foward you to SongChemistry.com to view the analyzed data of these songs, our charts are updated every week.

 

Q.  Why are some songtitles are in blue font and some in red font?
A. Some lists contains songtitles with different color fonts. Blue fonts mean the songtitle is complete (viewable), red fonts mean the songtitle is incomplete (you can request).

 

Q.  I forgot my password how do I retrieve it?
A. Click login at the top of the page. On the login popup click "Forgot Password?", type in the email address you registered with and click Submit. You will receive an email with a temporary password use that password to login to reset your temporary password.

 

Q.  What is the Request List?
A. When you login you will see "Request List" on the right under Profile Links. If you have made a request for our team to analyze a songtitle this list will show you all of your requests and their current status'. You can have only ONE song pending at a time.

 

Q.  What is Analyzed Songs?
A. Analyzed Songs is a list of all completed songs that has been analyzed by our team.

 

Q.  What is Just Added?
A. Just Added is a list of songs that have been added or completed in the previous week.

 

Q.  Where is and what is my profile?
A. When you login the first page you will see is your profile page, this page is due to change over time. Currently this page should always display artists and/or songs you may like feel free to explore these artists and songs. In the future we plan to expand SongChemistry.com into a social network where your profile page will display more adaptable and personal information.

 

Q.  Do I have to be a computer expert to use SongChemistry?
A. No. If you're familiar with standard internet databases and search engines Ex. Google, imdb.com, etc you will be able to maneuver and understand SongChemistry.

 

Q.  Who handles the day-to-day operation of SongChemistry.com?
A. Our research staff has expert knowledge in the genres of Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Rock & Roll, Jazz and Blues. On our staff we have recording artists who have appeared on the national music charts and music producers who have produced music in the genres of Rock, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and more.

 

Q.  Where is the Help Page?
A. This page should suffice as the Help Page, also there is a very informative tutorial video. In any case it does not feel free to contact us at support@songchemistry.com.

 

Q.  Where are your charts generated from?
A. Our listing sequence comes from the well respected Billboard Charts, our analytical data comes from our musical intuitive staff.

 

Q.  How many song titles do you have?
A. SongChemistry has over 1,800 songs in its database our goal is to gather immerse detailed information on each song title as we develop. If you find a songtitle that you would like our team to analyze you can click that song to request completion of that song.

 

Q.  What type of music do you have?
A. Our main genres are Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Country, Blues, Dance, Latin, Reggae, International, Classical, and Religious; we have over a hundred sub-genres. Our music ranges from 1929-2013.

 

Q.  Can this program help speed up the recording process?
A. After carefully researching one or more songs and comparing them to one another you will be able to confidently apply styles and formats to your productions that are equivalent to past or present hit songs, or any song that you like.

 

Q.  I'm having trouble logging in. What do I do?

Q.  I just signed up but never got my confirmation email, Now what?
A. You should still be able to login if you remember you login information, if you have any problems you can contact us at support@songchemistry.com.

 

Q.  What Is Event Calendar?
A. Currently the Event Calendar is used to display artist's birthdays and the day of an artist's death, in the future we plan to expand into a social network at that point the Event calendar will also be used for members' birthdays and show dates.

 

Q.  What are The Charts?
A. This link will take you to the national charts of different genres that we have analyzed.

 

Q.  What is Lyric Content Search?
A. Here you can search actually content from any lyric that we have in our database, Ex. "i love you" will show you results from all songs that have "i love you" in the lyrics.

 

Q.  What is Unsung?
A. This is a list of artists that has been featured on TV One's Unsung, you can view the albums and song information of these artists.

 

Q.  What is VH-1 One Hit Wonder?
A. This is a list of analyzed songs that was chosen as VH-1's One Hit Wonder list.

 

Q.  What is Deceased Artists?
A. This is a list of deceased artists, you can view the albums and song information of these artists.

 

Q.  What is Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
A. This is a list of artists that has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, you can view the albums and song information of these artists.
